Great news! Several WMM-supported films will be showcased at the 2024 Woodstock Film Festival! The 25th edition of the Woodstock Film Festival, a haven for independent film and a platform for promoting new and established filmmakers, will occur from October 15 to October 20, 2024.
Two films from our Production Assistance Program will have their New York premiere:
- A PHOTOGRAPHIC MEMORY (dir. Rachel Elizabeth Seed) – An ethereal, immersive viscerally visual film that follows a woman discovering her mother’s personhood through her work as a photojournalist and archivist.
- TROLL STORM (dir. Eunice Lau) – A relevant film about a Jewish woman who is subject to an anti-semitic trolling campaign online, her decision to fight back in court and the parallels she makes between the antisemitism of today and that of years past.
Additionally, films screening from Production Assistance Program Alum include:
- BORDERLAND | THE LINE WITHIN (dir. Pamela Yates)
- UNION (dir. Brett Story)
- DEATH BY NUMBERS (dir. Kim A. Snyder; New York Premiere)
- SEAT 31: ZOOEY ZEPHYR (dir. Kimberly Reed; New York Premiere)
- GOOD ENOUGH ANCESTOR (dir. Cynthia Wade; East Coast Premiere)
- NIGHTBITCH (dir. Marielle Heller)
We’re also excited to mention SABBATH QUEEN by Sandi DuBowski, a former WMM intern, and WISDOM OF HAPPINESS co-directed by WMM filmmaker Barbara Miller, which will have their North American premieres.
