We are excited to announce that seven films made by WMM filmmakers and Program alum are premiering at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival! Be sure to catch BEBA (dir. Rebeca Huntt) and BATTLEGROUND (dir. Cynthia Lowen), both of which are supported by our Production Assistance Program.
New films from WMM distribution filmmakers are also premiering, including WMM-sponsored MY NAME IS ANDREA directed by Pratibha Parmar (A PLACE OF RAGE, DOUBLE THE TROUBLE, TWICE THE FUN, ALICE WALKER: BEAUTY IN TRUTH, amongst others); BODY PARTS, directed by Kristy Guevara-Flanagan (MOTHERTIME, WONDER WOMEN!, and WHAT HAPPENED TO HER); LOWNDES COUNTY AND THE ROAD TO BLACK POWER, directed by Geeta Ghandbir (LOVE THE SINNER) and Program alum Sam Pollard; and TO THE END, produced by Sabrina Schmidt Gordon (MRS. GOUNDO’S DAUGHTER).
New films from Program alums will premiere at the festival, including ENDANAGERED (dir. Heidi Ewing & Rachel Grady) and THE REBELLIOUS LIFE OF MRS. ROSA PARKS (dir. Johanna Hamilton & Yoruba Richen).
