Co-directed by WMM filmmaker Nneka Onuorah and Giselle Bailey, we are excited to co-present THE LEGEND OF THE UNDERGROUND, a new film is about a group of bold, non-conformist youth fighting against rampant LGBTQ+ discrimination in today’s Nigeria. Onuorah is the director of WMM’s THE SAME DIFFERENCE, which won the NewFest Audience Award for Best Documentary Feature in 2015. Adapted from Nella Larsen’s beloved 1929 novel, PASSING is a seductive and psychological drama by Rebecca Hall that explores the mutability of identity and just how easily a once unshakeable truth can unravel.
