To mark the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall uprising, The Museum of the City of New York will present screenings and discussions of STORME: THE LADY OF THE JEWEL BOX and Production Assistance Program film HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MARSHA! on June 6th beginning at 6:30pm.
Following the films will be an exciting panel of artists and historians including:
Michelle Parkerson, Director, Storme: The Lady of the Jewel Box
John T. Reddick, Harlem historian
Rose Wood, performance artist and longtime friend of Stormé
Jessica Green (moderator), Cinema Director, Maysles Documentary Center
