The New York State Council on the Arts and the New York Mayor’s Office are currently offering two funding opportunities to support filmmakers and artists to spur the revitalization of New York’s creative economy!
New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) Individual Artists Program is now accepting applications for their third grant cycle through September 1, 2021. This round will provide support to individual artists through a streamlined application process. Priority will be given to applicants that serve historically underrepresented communities. Make sure to read the eligibility and application requirements to decide if you’re ready to apply. Applications are also open for the NYC Women’s Fund for Media, Music and Theatre! The City of New York Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment (MOME) & The New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) are offering up to $50,000 in finishing grants for TV, film, digital, music, & theatre projects by, for, and about all who identify as women. Now in its third cycle, the fund is part of a series of initiatives that address the underrepresentation of women in film, music, television and theatre. Applications close November 1, 2021.
