A good film score frames the plot and story arcs without distracting from them, and achieving that balance is not easy. For the very first time, Women Make Movies welcomes two award-winning film composers who will discuss how they work with directors and producers to add to the magic of storytelling. Emmy and Oscar-nominated composer Miriam Cutler (The Dilemma of Desire, RBG, Dark Money, Love Gilda, American Promise, One Lucky Elephant, Flannery and many more) and award-winning composer Florencia di Concilio (Stranded, Push, Buddy, Ava) work with filmmakers all over the world in documentary and scripted projects, as well as other forms of media. We’ll focus on the composition of an original score, but we will also touch on music supervision and licensing.
