SYNOPSIS

Claudia Morgado Escanilla's SABOR A MI is an erotic short drama about sensual yearnings, the guilty pleasures of watching, and the secret complicity of desire. Two women secretly watch the most intimate moments of each other's lives. Chance meetings between the two soon become deliberate encounters and the women discover their mutual longing for each other. This visually stunning short is from the maker of Unbound, winner of the Teddy Award at the Berlin International Film Festival.

ABOUT FILMMAKER(S)

Claudia Morgado Escanilla

Born in Santiago, Chile, Claudia Morgado Escanilla graduated from Montreal’s Concordia University in 1991 with an award for outstanding achievement in the film program. Since then she has produced, written and directed eleven short films. Her films have been awarded in international film festivals including the Berlin Teddy in 1996 for her film UNBOUNDand the Audience Award at the Creteil Women’s film festival for her film SABOR A MI. In 2000 she completed the Director’s in Residency program at The Canadian Film Centre where she directed the short film MARTIRIO (SUFFERENCE). In 2002, she produced and directed BITTEN which garnished three awards at The New York Film and Video Festival 2003. She resides in Vancouver where she has worked professionally for fifteen years in the local film industry. She is in development of her first feature script, In Patagonia, originally funded by the Telefilm Canada Screenwriter’s assistant Program. (8/14)
