CPH:DOX announced the projects in their 2025 FORUM and ROUGHCUT sections this week, and three films being made with the support of the WMM Production Assistance Program will be pitching. Two will be part of the CPH:FORUM:
- House No. 7 (dir. Rama Abdi; prod. Hazar Yazji). This project received special recognition from the documentary industry funders panel at the Points North Pitch (Camden International Film Festival) in September.
- The Journey to Santa Rosa de Amanadona (dir. Anabel Rodríguez; prod. Karin Berghammer, Sepp R. Brudermann, Anabel Rodríguez & Margarita Cadenas. This is the second project this team is making with our support. Their previous film, ONCE UPON A TIME IN VENEZUELA, was the Venezuelan entry for Best International Feature Film at the 93rd Academy Awards.
And one will be in the CPH:ROUGHCUT, a brand new section of the Forum presenting films at rough cut stage to buyers, sales agents, and other industry professionals:
- The Last Nomads (dir. Biljana Tutorov & Peter Glomazić; prod. Biljana Tutorov, Peter Glomazic, Quentin Laurent & Rok Biček. This project was the winner of the prestigious, inaugural Diane Weyermann Fellowship, part of Points North Institute Artist Programs.
CPH:DOX’s festival program will be announced later in February. Executive Director Debra Zimmerman will be attending as a Decision Maker. Congratulations to the filmmakers!
