CELEBRATING THE BROOKLYN MUSEUM’S BIRTHDAY BASH WITH BRINCANDO EL CHARCO

On October 5 and 6, the Brooklyn Museum celebrated its birthday with a vibrant two-day bash featuring a film marathon. Among the exciting lineup was the powerful, classic WMM film BRINCANDO EL CHARCO: PORTRAIT OF A PUERTO RICAN, directed by Frances Negrón-Muntaner.

This documentary offers an intimate exploration of the Puerto Rican experience, weaving personal narratives with broader cultural themes. Attendees had the opportunity to engage with the film and reflect on its themes of identity, belonging, and resilience in the face of adversity.

The event  highlighted the importance of supporting diverse voices in the film industry.  We’re grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a meaningful event and look forward to more celebrations. BRINCANDO EL CHARCO: PORTRAIT OF A PUERTO RICAN is available to book and purchase
