The 2023 Tribeca film festival lineup has been released and 6 films from WMM filmmakers are on the list! Two films made with the support of our Production Assistance Program will have world premieres: BREAK THE GAME (dir. Jane M. Wagner) and RICHLAND (dir. Irene Lusztig, YOURS IN SISTERHOOD, THE MOTHERHOOD ARCHIVES). And WMM-sponsored films INVISIBLE BEAUTY (Dir. Bethann Hardison and Frédéric Tcheng) and IT’S ONLY LIFE AFTER ALL (Dir. Alexandria Bombach), both which premiered at Sundance in January, will have their NY Premieres. Also having their World Premieres are THE SPACE RACE, a new film from Lisa Cortés, and BLACK GIRLS PLAY: THE STORY OF HAND GAMES, a new film directed by Michèle Stephenson (Stateless) and Joe Brewster.
Women Make Movies is co-hosting screenings of BREAK THE GAME, THE SPACE RACE, and a great film from our friends CatnDocs, APOLONIA, APOLONIA.
