We are thrilled to see our filmmakers and staff on the 2022 DOC NYC’s industry lists. Congratulations to WMM filmmakers Paula Eiselt (dir. 93QUEEN), Willow O’Feral (dir. SISTERS RISING), Nicole Docta (prod. BELLY OF THE BEAST), and Elizabeth Unger (dir. TIGRE GENTE, made with the support of the WMM Production Assistance program) for being named to this year’s DOC NYC’s 40 UNDER 40 list! Now in its fifth year, 40 UNDER 40 “celebrates emerging talent in the documentary world, including directors, producers, cinematographers, and editors.”  

Last but certainly not least, we are exceptionally proud to announce that WMM’s Manager of Filmmaker Services Emily Abi-Kheirs and Program alum Ann Bennett will be part of this year’s DOC NYC Documentary New Leader cohort. The 11 members of this cohort are recognized as people in the U.S. documentary industry “whose work to date and potential for leadership brings greater inclusion and equity to the field.” Earlier this year, Emily also attended the 65th Flaherty Seminar as a LEF New England fellow and was one of twenty selected for IDA’s Inaugural Getting Reel Fellowship, held last month.
