FAYA DAYI (dir. Jessica Beshir), which was made with the support of our Production Assistance Program, has been shortlisted for Best Documentary Feature. This film is a five-time Cinema Eye Honor Nominee, Critics’ Choice Nominee, NYTimes Critic’s Pick, 2021 IDA Award Nominee, and winner of the Cinematography Award at DOC NYC. WMM-Sponsored shorts ÁGUILAS (dir. Kristy Guevara-Flanagan & Maite Zubiaurre) and TAKEOVER (dir. Emma Francis-Snyder) have been shortlisted for Best Documentary Short Subject. ÁGUILAS is available to watch on PBS’ POV and TAKEOVER is available to watch on NYTimes.
New films from Program alums Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi (THE RESCUE), Laura Poitras (TERROR CONTAGION), Tatiana Huezo (PRAYERS FOR THE STOLEN), and Camilla Nielsson (PRESIDENT) have also been shortlisted!
