Marion Lipschutz
Marion Lipschutz has taught video workshops in New York City schools and worked as a field producer, associate producer and researcher for HBO projects, including the first episode of Autopsy, Iceman I, Everything You Need to Know About Aids, Confrontation I& II, and several episodes of Real Sex. She produced Hard Choices, about life in a mid-western rust belt town, Facing Difference, on campus diversity, associate produced The Human Language, a PBS series on linguistics, and The Entrepreneurs, a syndicated series on the history of entrepreneurship.
Marion Lipschutz and Rose Rosenblatt run Incite Pictures and Cine Qua Non, a NYC based company producing feature length documentaries that entertain, educate, and engage audiences across a wide range of platforms. Their work has been called "unique and memorable", "pure gold" and "balanced and truthful".
Their last film, The Education of Shelby Knox, won Best Cinematography at the Sundance Film Festival, as well as a dozen other awards. It launched the 2005 season of PBS’s Point of View, a series that also featured Live Free or Die, the story of a doctor banned from teaching in his children’s schools because he provides abortions. Other work includes Fatherhood USA, a series on contemporary fatherhood; The Abortion Pill; and for a change of pace, The Trenchcoat Gang, a Court TV special about the most successful bank robbers in U.S. history.
